Kabuk matches people in need of legal advice with lawyers looking for new business.
Kabuk is driven to demystify the process of sourcing legal services, streamlining education about, and navigation of, the legal system. Using Kabuk’s state‐of‐the‐art search engine, Canadians are able to search by specific legal need, view profiles of legal providers that meet their needs, see availabilities and request desired appointments online. We’re working hard to improve access to legal services for all Canadians.
The need to find a lawyer takes the average person right out of their comfort zone. When the need for legal services does comes up it is often time‐sensitive, confidential and very specific, making it difficult to find word of mouth referrals through our networks. As a result, 76% of adults turn online at some point during their search process. Unfortunately, the information consumers need to make informed choices is difficult and time consuming to find. Access to justice in Canada remains a problem with Canada ranking only 9th out of 12 countries included in a World Justice Project analysis of access to civil justice.
